Killigrew Primary & Nursery SchoolGovernor Vacancy in St Albans

Killigrew Primary School is looking for a couple of non-parent governors to support great education in the local community.  Killigrew is a lovely school, with excellent teaching staff, on the edge of St. Albans with fantastic grounds and an ethos that focuses on the well-rounded development of our children.

The following extracts from the school’s website will give you a feel for the school:

Killigrew SchoolKilligrew Primary School and Nursery is a two form entry community school for 4-11 year olds in a lovely setting surrounded by woods and fields. The school and nursery have excellent facilities, take a look at our school prospectus to find out more.

We feel that we have achieved a ‘family’ atmosphere where even the shyest child feels at home. Children are encouraged to take on responsibilities from an early age and this leads to self-confidence and a responsible attitude to others and to the environment.

Mission Statement

We are committed to providing the best possible education for your child. At Killigrew we have an established reputation for providing high standards and expectations within a well ordered and caring environment. Every child matters to us and our aim is to encourage pupils to achieve their best and to lay the foundations on which their future learning is built.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people to join our friendly governing body who have a real focus on excellent curriculum delivery and the overall well-being of staff and pupils. Enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved are key, but the school will particularly benefit if you have legal, finance and/ or education experience.
