Governor Updates 2020/21 Dates Announced

Diary datesDates for 2020/21 Headteacher & Governor Updates

As we continue to be in uncertain times, we have 3 dates, two of which are taking an optimistic view that larger group meetings might be possible by spring.  These update dates are:

  • Autumn 2020
    Monday 30 November – 2 x webinars with an evening one at 5 pm for governors.  Register online here.
    Agenda items to include:

    • Hertfordshire perspective,
    • HR updates,
    • Safeguarding updates.
  • Spring 2021
    Wednesday 17 March – Hatfield (Governors), and
  • Summer 2021
    Thursday 17 June – Hatfield (Governors).

Annual Conference Postponed

Herts for LearningHASG/HfL Hertfordshire Governors’ Annual Conference Postponed

The Executive Committee of the Hertfordshire Association of School Governors (HASG) together with the Governance Planning Team of HfL have decided that the conference planned for Saturday 7th November 2020 will be postponed until Spring 2021.

The continuing uncertainty surrounding the development of the Covid-19 pandemic and the probable inadvisability of a meeting of up to 300 delegates in November this year has led us to decide now that, in the interests of safety for all participants, there was no alternative to this postponement. As usual, the Winners of the Hertfordshire Outstanding Governor Awards were presented at the Governors Annual Conference – this year on Saturday 16th November 2019 at Robertson House Stevenage. Because of the strength of the field this year the Awards committee agreed an additional Runner-Up and also an additional Award to a Special School Governor. Annual Governors’ Conference 2019

The Hertfordshire Annual Governor’s Conference 2019 will take place on Saturday 16th November 2019, from 9:00 am (registration from 8:15 am), to 15:30 pm.  It will be held at the Hertfordshire Development Centre, Stevenage, Robertson House, Six Hills Way.
