Governor’s Update now a Webinar & HASG AGM News

Webinar Briefing & AGM for Governors

A webinar will replace the previously advertised in-person briefing at the Mill Green Golf Club.  This will take place at 5 pm on Tuesday 30th November 2021.   Similarly, the 2021 HASG AGM (see below) will be held virtually at 7 pm on 13th December 2021.

WebinarThis decision has been made because cases of COVID-19 are currently high both nationally and in Hertfordshire and schools have been asked to implement additional measures to reduce the spread of the virus.   With these measures in mind, we consider it appropriate that this term’s Headteacher Updates remains in webinar form.  The programme will include the following updates and items:

The Autumn Term Governors’ sessions of the Headteachers’ Updates takes place at Mill Green Golf Club.  Refreshments on arrival from 5:30 pm on 1st December with the session starting at 6 pm and concluding by 8 pm.

Conference 2020 Goes Digital in March 2021

Herts for Learning (HfL) and Hertfordshire Association of School Governors (HASG) are delighted to confirm the rescheduled governor conference will be delivered digitally in spring 2021.

We took the decision to postpone the November 2020 date and reschedule for March 2021 in the hope ‘normal service will be resumed’.  However, as we remain in an uncertain period, HfL and HASG have taken the decision to run the conference digitally, but over the week!

‘Education – Bridging the Gap’, is the theme for the Annual Governors Conference, bookings open on Monday 16th November.

Annual Conference Postponed

Herts for LearningHASG/HfL Hertfordshire Governors’ Annual Conference Postponed

The Executive Committee of the Hertfordshire Association of School Governors (HASG) together with the Governance Planning Team of HfL have decided that the conference planned for Saturday 7th November 2020 will be postponed until Spring 2021.

The continuing uncertainty surrounding the development of the Covid-19 pandemic and the probable inadvisability of a meeting of up to 300 delegates in November this year has led us to decide now that, in the interests of safety for all participants, there was no alternative to this postponement.
