The Herts for Learning (HfL) Annual General Meeting (AGM) provides a valuable opportunity for shareholders to share their views and communicate with our Board of Directors.  All headteachers and chairs of governors from shareholding schools are invited to attend this meeting.  If you are unable to attend yourself, you are welcome to nominate a representative to attend in your place.

The 2019 HfL Shareholder Satisfaction survey to Hertfordshire Chairs is now available to complete online with a deadline of 24th May!

The HASG would strongly urge all Chairs to complete the survey.

Limited Responses to Date

GovernorHub – New Governors’ Database Provider

HfL’s Governance Services (HfL-GS) have changed the database used by governors’ clerks and Governance Services.  The database retains information, input by your clerk, of individual governors and governing boards including address, contact number, email address, the category of governor, term of office, constitution, etc.

As previously advertised, the Summer Update for Heads and Governors, which was arranged by the HASG, took place on 21st June.  The briefing covered several topics and was lead by Marcus Cooper the Senior Education Manager in Hertfordshire. (Who we learned  was moving on to pastures new at the end of term).

Marcus gave us updates from the Herts perspective covering Ofsted the DfE and Safeguarding. Debbie Orton, the Head of Integrated Service for Learning, also took a slot to talk about the ISL reorganisation.  You can download the presentations by clicking the following link:
